Description

When I place down lights in the editor the lights seem to have no colour. The bloom does but if I change to medium quality (which turns off bloom) the lights just appear grey. I've tried using different browsers but nothing seems to change and it only started after I got a new PC.
I'm sure it's an individual problem since I can't find it mentioned anywhere. Is there anything that could be causing this?

  • App Version:
    0.3.2
  • Device:
    Desktop
  • OS:
    Windows 10
  • Browser:
Tried with Opera GX & Chrome, both received the same results

You can see how the lights seem a bit off. Only the bloom has color

thanks for reporting!

this isn't exactly so much a bug as it is a side effect of how the selective bloom on lights were originally implemented pre-handoff, where the bloom effect will only render on high quality settings due to performance implications on older browser targets.

that said, i do agree this probably isn't the most ideal behavior for viewing lights on low/medium quality, and i do plan on reworking this proper once i get around to rewriting the ui layer in a future update cycle (other things are taking higher priority atm), so i'll leave this open for now and will revisit when the time comes.

in the meantime, you can always up your graphics level to high once you need more accurate visuals or preview your map in other software (arcviewer, in-game preview, etc.) for a more accurate lighting preview.
