it would be nice to have support for Excel spreadsheet so the user would not need to convert to CSV.

maybe this will work for XLS https://github.com/extrame/xls

i confirmed this works great for XLSX https://github.com/tealeg/xlsx

ideally, the app should work for all formats: CSV, XLS, XLSX
