Problem you would like to solve

As a process designer I want to define/link additional requirements to my process to have everything easily accessible from one point. Thes requirements can be extensive / formated as rich text.

Proposed solution

Allow to add links / rich text in the element description of the process.

Writing all details in the field - The field is too small and does not allow collaboration.

Thanks for opening this issue.

If I understand you correctly, the problem you want to solve is that there is no way to add links or formatted text as element/process documentation. BPMN allows to add documentation to elements. It can even have different MIME types than text/plain. However, in our tools only plain text is rendered:

I think this is a valid feature request. We could add a limited support for text/html content, or render markdown in documentation. I can imagine that per default we would render such documentation, and offer an edit button to change its contents.
