You can simplify the example in your README.md file as follows.

json mappingJson = check io:fileReadJson("resources/edi-mapping1.json");
edi:EDIMapping mapping = check mappingJson.cloneWithType(edi:EDIMapping);

json mappingJson = check io:fileReadJson("resources/edi-mapping1.json");
edi:EDIMapping mapping = check mappingJson.cloneWithType();
