Keep HUD open while adding fields

The new HUD for adding fields in the FLD has been discussed in Discord and there's a feeling that it's not ideal for quickly adding fields in succession, particularly when using filtering:

Especially, for example, if you name a bunch of fields after the entry type they belonog to "Project - Field Name", then you could just filter the list to all the project fields and drag them all in at once, but now you need to add, type, select, add, type, select, add, type, select,

IMO, we could have the best of both worlds if the HUD stayed open while adding fields and would only close via an explicit action, like a close button, or the escape key.

Requiring an explicit action to close the HUD sounds a bit too heavy-handed IMO. But it would be helpful if the HUD stayed open until the user clicks/focuses/interacts with something outside of the relevant tab.

No objection there. Interacting with something outside the tab is semi-explicit IMO and is consistent with the closing behaviour of slideouts.
