Zotero is important to keep the light annotation and maintenance possibilities but this is a bit limited:
A Corese endpoint could be used to extend it via a LOD desc.
The Scilex ontology need here to be clearly defined

All these aspects could have many benefits:

a better description of the authors
a better description of of conferences / journal
could allows the automatic update of citations, impact metrics
...
