A Current release will only stay in current status for a total of 6 months.
During this 6 month cycle, bugs and security fixes will be made on point and patch releases, respectively.
Current Status does not guarantee a stable API release in the sense that an update will not break something along the way durring a minor point release.
An Active LTS release will be supported for 6 months.
Reported bugs and security issues are fixed and regular patch releases are made on a fortnightly basis, durring this 6 month cycle.
A Maintenance LTS happens on every other Active LTS release, where the release number is an even number.
Maintenance LTS releases only recieve critical bug and security fixes for a total of 12 months once they are put into this status.
