<h1 class="smaller margin-bottom-2 ae-2">Death Particles</h1>
<div class="ae-3"><p class="large opacity-8">Excited by the possibility of using fire & explosions instead of blood spatters, I created this <i>'fire, smoke & sparks'</i> effect using Niagra particles. It is applied to the player's mesh at the death event.
<br><br>Also tuned the ragdoll effect to make the bones seperate more, added a camera zoom back & delay before destroying the actor. This means you can watch as the ragdoll gets flung around. Then implemented an instant random player respawn in blueprint.</p>

<h1 class="smaller margin-bottom-2 ae-2">Piece of my Soul</h1>
<div class="ae-3"><p class="large opacity-8">This is an experiment using audio generated particles to decorate a spirit world. It started off in a dark environment but this made navigation too hard. I then changed to having the particles being emitted in the player's viewport.
<br><br>Added emissive materials to make birds glow + a distotion FX on wings. Colours chosen to pop on OLED display. 200,000 particles being generated & shaped by the soundtrack.
<br><br>Gameplay will be a series of rings to fly through or pop similar to hogwarts legacy baloon mini game. This then unlocks the elephant in the main world.

<div class="ae-3"><p class="large opacity-8">Using polycam to 3D Scan this brilliant 'skull-angel' character I have adorning my fridge. Then imported into blender & accurig to convert to a skeletal mesh. Then to mixamo to tune some animations. Created animation blueprints & blendspaces to control animations.
<br><br>Deliberatley customising some more quirty animations to exagerate the features. For example a funny walk with hands all over the palce. The idle animation is praying... In the future I will go back to rig & animate the wings once I know how I'd like them to function.
