Release failing on detecting increment to use

There have been 2 failures, both at the point of detecting the semver increment from the commit message. This could be due to asterisks in commit message (they both have the and others don't). GitHub puts aterisks in as bullet points for commits when squashing, so they need to be handled/cleansed before detecting which increment to use.

#35 raised to temporarily remove the detection until this issue is resolved
