Developing gRPC-based Abstraction Layer

Hello all.

I want to extend MOSAIC by developing a gRPC-based abstraction layer for it.
The motivation is that I need to integrate my Python application with the framework and find out there is other initiatives for this before ( take a look at these discussions #112 #330).

What parts of the MOSAIC code base should I extend or modify for this purpose? where should I start and what are the general steps?
