Set hours via twitter

What if you could signal that you're online via twitter update?
Something among the lines of: I'll be available for #hnofficehours from 9PM to 10PM

You'd first have to link your account with twitter, and then the app could check the search for the above hashtag every now and then.

I'd love to implement this but I haven't got a clue about python just yet. But I reckon it shouldn't be to hard if you'll implement the other bits first.
