Hello, and thank you for the excellent project!

I know that this project has not been updated for some time, it seems to work as advertised anyways. But I thought to write here about a new feature proposal.

I noticed today that Guitar Pro 8 is released, with support for embedding audio files and playing them back while a cursor is moving through the score.

It would be really nice to reverse engineer the new format and have support for converting the tabs while also synchronizing the audio track from Rocksmith in the file. I might even be interested in taking on some of this work myself, if I can upgrade my license to GP8.

Thought I'd mention this new feature, and create an issue to see if anyone else might be interested as well. Here's a link documenting new GP8 features: https://www.guitar-pro.com/c/10-guitar-pro-new-features

Thanks again!

I saw this new feature in GP8. I would love this to be a possibility for RocksmithToTab.

I just found you can extract the audio from the psarc using rocksmith custom toolkit. You would then need to manually align that audio in guitrarpro i guess. It's not automatic but if you're only working on a handful of songs in guitarpro it's definitley doable
