No 2.13.2 update for firefox extension #620
Comments
Same issue on Fedora Linux, system component updated, but waiting for the update to drop to Firefox extensions store. |
Yeah, as mentioned in #616 (comment), new extension version hasn't been reviewed yet. I guess it will be reviewed next week. To fix the issue with launching web apps, you will need to manually update the native program to 2.13.2. You can see more details in #600. |

Here’s the revised version of your text with improved clarity and structure: I've been testing to identify what’s causing the problems with the browser. It seems that the issue may stem from either the browser itself or the extensions being used. For testing purposes, I've been using YouTube as a ground to observe the behavior. Here’s what I’ve found so far: Initial Behavior:

Steps to Fix Issues:
Important Notes:
This version should be clearer and more concise while maintaining all the important details from your original message. Let me know if you need any further adjustments! |
This seems to work now, but if you have any shortcuts, such as those on the toolbar or in your start menu, they will now be null and void. You’ll need to edit the original link as follows:
After editing, the links in the app should work as expected. Steps for Updating the Shortcut:
Additional Notes:

Now that it semi-fixed is there any reason why have to open up the pwa newly created app or modified shortcut twice one for it to fail one for it to load properly |
It appears that you've previously had the 64-bit version installed, but then you installed the 32-bit version. I recommend that you uninstall all PWAsForFirefox versions listed in control panel or system settings, and install the 64-bit version ( |
hank you for the assistance! I followed the steps above and resolved most
of the issues. However, I still occasionally have to open my main Facebook
twice for it to load properly. Interestingly, my secondary Facebook account
opens perfectly on the first try. I suspect this might be due to it being
on a separate user account. That said, all my PWAs are set up with separate
users for specific functions. For example, I have separate profiles for
YouTube, GPT, my server, and others, which allows me to use independent
extensions for each PWA. I really like this setup since not every PWA
requires every single extension.
This is absolutely my favorite program, especially since I’ve moved away
from Chromium. I now run everything on Gecko engines.
On a lighter note, I’ve programmed my Elgato Stream Deck with written
macros to quickly reconfigure shortcuts. It’s much faster now! I even
programmed it to automatically open my primary Facebook or any problem
application twice as a workaround.
Again, thank you for your help! Hopefully, the underlying issue causing
this can be fixed in the future.

Doing more research and only seems to be affecting the default pWa profile
there's something wrong with that profile is there any way of repairing it
or should I just make a external profile and redo it each application

@mjbandroid I guess that might be the same issue as #572. There are some issues with the session storage but I don't know why they happen and how to fix them. Extension version 2.13.2 has also been approved and is now available, so I'll close the issue. |
I got the 2.13.2 update on mac but I'm still getting the same error I posted earlier. I can install web apps but they won't open. |
That seems like a different issue. Please try to run both "Patch profiles and runtime" and "Update web apps" from the extension settings. If that doesn't help, please check what happens if you try to launch the PWA from terminal using |
Okay here are the results:

Thank you @filips123 ! Here is a screenshot from the contents: There is no loader file if I understood this correct. |
Please try to install the website from the terminal and provide logs. For example: firefoxpwa site install https://github.com/manifest.json |
Okay here is the log. |
It seems that your Xcode CLT installation is somehow broken. You can try to remove it and then install it again: sudo rm -rf /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools
xcode-select --install Then, try to install the website again. I've also found this. As mentioned there, if simply reinstalling doesn't work, maybe you will have to download Xcode CLT from the Apple website... |
Problem solved! The solution was to install xcode 16.2 by logging into the Apple Developer Portal. Then I just updated web apps from PWA settings. That's it! Thank you very much @filips123 for your kind help! |
I'm receiving notification that the extension is out of date:
the Please Update It! link takes me to this page where it shows the following:
however, the version on AMO is 2.13.1:
is this extension on AMO going to be updated soon or should I just do it manually?
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
