Hi,
What does this exactly means (taken from FDS user guide): If a SURF with BACKING=’EXPOSED’ is applied to a solid with a dimension that is much greater than the specified THICKNESS, FDS will then ignore BACKING=’EXPOSED’ and apply BACKING=’VOID’ instead? I guess the thickness here refers to the solid obstruction on which the surface is applied. So, if I have a solid obstruction of thickness of say 0.1m (my mesh is also 0.1m in size) and I apply the surface of thickenss say 0.01m on all the sides of the obstruction with BACKING=’EXPOSED’, then will FDS do the calculattion as void on the other side? Thanks!
