Apologies if this is a stupid question, but would it be feasible for VVdeC to add support for the MediaExtension framework in macOS Sequoia, so that users on Mac can work with VVC video system-wide?
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. We are considering whether such an integration would make sense. However, at the moment, this is not on our immediate roadmap, but we are open to contributions.
I personally would rather see this in a separate repository instead of in the VVdeC repository itself. I don't really know the MediaExtension framework, but perhaps integrating FFmpeg might make more sense, as it would bring support for VVC and many other codecs.
