Question: Serial enabled?

Hey there, my Megadesk was shipped on Oct. 12, 2022. It's board rev v8. Does anyone know if the serial feature is already activated on this device?

Units flashed with serial only started in Dec, so you will need to flash yours with serial firmware if desired.

Hello, if I'm receiving information via serial (all events like changing height or pressing buttons) but my commands from esp device can't control megadesk (board just ignore it) - does it mean that serial feature on my unit is on and this is a problem related with ESPhome config? I received mine at Feb

Serial is enabled if it's Feb.

I would check your TX/RX pins on both megadesk and the MCU you are using - both the physical connections and the configuration in ESPhome.

You were right - it was just a loose wire on the TX - SCK, now everything works perfectly. Thank you for the hint.

Thanks, i just attached my Programmer to it, but i am not that familiar with avrdude.
I tried this:
