The latest version of Gecko is pretty impressive. Was any optimization done on zypper package manager? Earlier zypper ref, install, remove used to take a really long time, now it is pretty fast. While budgie DE looks quite similar to pantheon it is still pretty nice and well setup.

Great job and hoping to stay put in this distro for a long time.

I haven't done anything, and I don't think openSUSE has either. Maybe it's just a matter of which openSUSE repo mirror you're hitting.
