Just posting this over here, for about three weeks I had problems with first not being able to get past a black screen on my TW install, and then problems with slow ¨log in"after entering the user password.
Finally got a hint from the Factory list-serve that someone having the same issues solved by adding ¨sddm-qt6" to the log in manager.
Had the same problem then in Gecko rolling, booting to ER mode, unless I picked ädvanced options" in grub and then scrolling down to the lowest/oldest kernel (all named the same) . . . and then I could log into Gecko.
Today I finally had the chance to ¨sudo zypper in sddm-qt6"and that seemed to work to get to a standard GUI desktop in Gecko.
sudo update-alternatives --list default-displaymanager [sudo] password for root: /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/console /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/gdm /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/lightdm /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/sddm /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/xdm
It just shows as ¨sddm"but previously I didn´t have any ¨sddm"installed . . . . As can be seen the ümlaut"and no space bar problem continues in the Gecko MATE version.
