I think we can probably combine these, at least up to right now. If the subsequent seasons of the TV show end up being highly influential above and beyond the books, or vice versa, we could separate them.

Note that I am somewhat torn on putting these here. I think they have been influential on me, as I have never read a fantasy series this "gritty", and I did really enjoy all of them. I cannot discern whether they were truly influential, or were simply a story I enjoyed.
