Thank you for your interest in this topic. The link, however, is 2 years old or so, and since then a great deal of work was done to enhance the quality, functionality and performance for Cyrillic users of Roboto.

Because of the need to maintain the widths of text in documents created with “classic”, is was not practical to make all the changes made in the Roboto-Flex design, but we hope you find it a good replacement for the classic version.
