• From my perspective this was a very bad decision. gcr.io/distroless/java-base-debian12:latest is from https://console.cloud.google.com/artifacts/docker/distroless/us/gcr.io/java-base-debian12 . If users want to obtain information related to this Docker Image, they always need to register a Google account and initialize the Google Cloud region. The problem is that Google Cloud is not available in most countries, which sometimes causes misunderstandings. See https://cloud.google.com/about/locations .
• If the use of gcr.io/distroless/java-base-debian12 can be replaced with a Docker Image on Docker Hub or Oracle Container Registry, it will obviously help users to further obtain information about Docker Images without a Google account.
