I don't think The repo you're using is likely run by some random person. |
@sur5r is not a random person and the repository is mentioned in https://i3wm.org/docs/repositories.html. @stapelberg I am not sure if we consider it "official". |
I'm well aware that i3lock 2.15 has been released. I've been rather busy with work related things during the last weeks. i3lock will be updated, both in Debian itself and in my repo. |

This is something the Ubuntu maintainers need to take care of. @stapelberg and me are just maintaining packages in Debian proper, everything in Ubuntus repos is up to Ubuntu. Given that usually doesn't happen, that's why my repo exists. |
