task add always adds tasks in parent dir's mise.toml

Setup: I have ~/mise.toml and ~/foo/bar/mise.toml.

When I run MISE_LOG_LEVEL=trace mise task add pre-commit -- echo pre-commit it will always add it to the toml in $HOME.

If I run it with MISE_PROJECT_ROOT=$(pwd) MISE_CONFIG_ROOT=$(pwd) nothing changes.

In the directory I have a mise.toml with this content:

[tools]
difftastic = "latest"

[tasks]

[tasks.cleancache]
run = "rm -rf .cache"
hide = true # hide this task from the list

difftastic has been added via mise use, the task manually.

Clean example of behaviour of mise use, which differs from task add:

❯ cd /tmp/foo
❯ touch mise.toml
❯ mkdir bar ; cd bar

# adds config to parent dir
❯ mise use difftastic
mise /private/tmp/foo/mise.toml tools: [email protected]

# create config in subdir
❯ touch mise.toml
mise WARN  Config files in /private/tmp/foo/bar/mise.toml are not trusted.
Trust them with `mise trust`. See https://mise.jdx.dev/cli/trust.html for more information.

# adds config to current dir, as config exists
❯ mise use difftastic
mise config files in /private/tmp/foo/bar are not trusted. Trust them? Yes
mise /private/tmp/foo/bar/mise.toml tools: [email protected]

this is expected behavior. You should use a global config file if you don't want this to happen.
