Package not working with PostCSS 8 #11

The package seems to not work with PostCSS version 8 and above, probably due to a breaking change.
I have tried to "downgrade" my postcss version but it doesn't help, because it is shared with other postcss plugins so this breaks them.

Basically after PostCSS 8, all plugins should migrate to the new API:

Is there a plan to update this plugin? I can contribute myself if it would help.
