this topic came up in @skycaptain's #211 and #212 recently but I don't want to keep spamming those.
As noted in my last comment in #212, I got the myJD extension installed manually and it was working fine.
However, that was before I learned that TrueCharts support was getting canned, i.e. there's not going to be updates in the future. As a result, I am now trying to set up the container manually.
I got JD running fine after an initial hiccup with permissions, but the Chromium part just... won't work, and I can't figure out why.
For some reason, the extension is unable to load most of its own files. Some work, but most don't, and I have no idea why. I am using the same container version tag v24.01.1, which I realise is not the most recent one. However I got the same issue on the latest tag and figured it in itself could be an issue, so I wanted to get it working on a 1:1 equal setup first.
Here is a screenshot with both containers running in parallel. Manual Docker left, TrueCharts App on the right (ignore the dark mode, I enabled that manually after everything was working):
In the top you can see the errors the extension spits out just after loading. The ones on the right seem to be non-consequential, but the ones on the left... well, go figure.
As you can see in the bottom, most files don't load, and there is no indication as to why. Clicking on any of the files just displays "Failed to load response data: No data found for resource with given identifier". What's curious though is upon double-click on the same file, it opens it in a new tab just fine...
The jDownloader Online Help (opened from within jD), and even Google load just as spotty. Sometimes it loads fine, but most of the time the tab just crashes. Also not that I need them, but the google ads don't load in the manual Docker either.
Also 2 more notes: For one, the list of loadable files seems to change randomly. Just clicking the reload button in the Extension management page randomly makes more or less files load. And secondly, the Chromium in the manual Docker setup seems a lot more crashy...
If Chromium, or the extension would just straight up not work at all, I wouldn't worry about it. But the wildly different behaviour just boggles me.
Unfortunately TrueCharts took their catalogue repository offline, but since it's still installed, I can still access the App definitions. I copied all of what I could over. The only 2 things I cannot do are binding the myjd and vnc port (TrueNAS requires port numbers > 9000 for custom apps :/ ), but I wouldn't think either of them are required for this...

Does anyone have an idea what's going on here?
