I am a Google Chrome user, and whenever I close Google Chrome and reopen it my settings reset to default.

This is also happening to me using Firefox 83.0 on macOS Catalina

See updates in linked issue, but may be solved as of 2.2.0. Other culprits can be "pc cleaner' software that deletes browser data.

I too am experiencing the same: from #268 and #176 I take that this is going to be fixed in the next release as per this comment?
