Does it mask the domain?

I want to mask the main domain in JS, and I'm not interested in siteID. In Matomo Forum, a user claims that the plugin masks both the domain and SiteID. Then, I installed the plugin, but it does not mask the domain. Actually, both the plugin name and description does not mention about masking the domain. My question is that does the plugin mask the domain? If so, as the user also claimed, how can it be possible to have different results by two users?
