Experiences with Onecta and Daikin

Hi there,

I am looking for some experiences on Daikin Airco and Onecta integration/platform. Since I did not purchase the Airco of Daikin yet I am exploring information, especially the usage of the integration in HA.

I am quite happy this is available in HACS as integration. Since there no FAQ yet (I believe)

• Any recent Airco model supported, as long as you have a Daikin Onecta account ?
• Limitations given the Airco model I purchase?
• How are the experiences given the speed/time between HA command > Airco processes the command, and vice versa (updates)?

• For example Volvo APIs are terribly slow in updating (in general) therefore HA does receive updates very slowly...

Additionally I see the Overkiz integration (Somfy Tahoma platform) should be supporting Daikin devices too,

• What are the differences? or why is this HACS integration better to use for Daikin Airco devices?

Do you advise Onecta, or all of you rather preferred the local API connectivity available with the older models?

See the Daikin developer portal for all supported portals and gateways. The Daikin Onecta API has a limitation of 200 calls per day, this limits the amount of polls you can do per day.
