Help with some yabai shell scripting

Hi everyone,
in my journey towards having vim like key bindings to navigate my desktops I have the following functions in my .zshenv (I am aware that with a bit of coding these two functions can be merged into one but I am a bit lazy when doing stuff like this) to move space left and right in the current display (monitor).

moveSpaceLeftInTheCurrentDisplay() {
    minspace=$(yabai -m query --spaces --display | jq 'min_by(.index).index')
    maxspace=$(yabai -m query --spaces --display | jq 'max_by(.index).index')
    curspace=$(yabai -m query --spaces --space | jq '.index')

    if [ "$curspace" -eq "$minspace" ]; then
        nextspace=$maxspace
    else
        nextspace=$(($curspace-1))
    fi

    yabai -m space --focus $nextspace
}

And this one that should toggle the focus between two displays

toggleDisplay() {
    currentDisplay=$(yabai -m query --displays --display | jq ".index")
    targetSpace=$(yabai -m query --spaces | jq '.[] | select((.display != '$currentDisplay') and (."is-visible")) | .index')
    
    yabai -m space --focus $targetSpace

}

They are rather simple and they work perfectly when I have only one monitor connected but when I use two monitor I get stucked on spaces that have no windows. Am I missing something or is it impossible to fix this behaviour?

I am using yabai-v4.0.1 installed via homebrew on a Intel Macbook Pro with macOS Monterey 12.4, any help is appreciated!
