Has something changed recently, im suddenly getting a strict dependency for gatsby v2?

npm ERR! Could not resolve dependency:
npm ERR! peer gatsby@"^2.0.15" from [email protected]
npm ERR! node_modules/gatsby-transformer-gitinfo
npm ERR!   gatsby-transformer-gitinfo@"^1.1.0" from the root project
