Describe the idea you'd like

wouldn't it be better (especially for embedded systems) to have a driver configuration header file to specify the interface type and, using preprocessor definition, exclude the code that won't be ever used? for those users that will require all the possible interfaces the 3 option can be then all enabled in the config file
