with nautilus + sushi, with the preview open, one can still use the arrow keys to navigate between files. with nemo-preview one first has to close the preview, select a different file, then open preview again.
sometimes you just want to quickly flip through a bunch of images to find the one you're after. unfortunately, the way it currently works it's really cumbersome to do that.

I am waiting for this exact feature. I have my own method of doing it, at least for images:
Instead of using Pix as my default image viewer, i set feh --start-at as my preferred image application. this allows zoom and next/previous image viewing within the current folder.
