Project Description

Our project at TECHkRIYA 2024 features a CSE-side booth that educates participants about LIVEPEER AI PIPELINES, focusing on live streaming technologies. Our booth aims to demystify these concepts and educational resources, helping participants gain practical skills in utilizing AI-powered streaming solutions and APIs effectively.

How is Livepeer used for this project?

In our project at TECHkRIYA 2024, Livepeer will be utilized to demonstrate its capabilities in AI-powered video streaming. Specifically, we will:

Live Demonstrations: Show how to set up and use Livepeer's AI PIPELINES for live streaming applications. Participants will see real-time examples of video transcoding and delivery.

API Integrations: Educate attendees on how to integrate Livepeer APIs into their own projects, illustrating the practical steps involved in leveraging Livepeer's infrastructure for building scalable video applications.

How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective?

With the grant, we will develop comprehensive demos of Livepeer AI PIPELINES, provide fun Livepeer (customised by us)merchandise to excited students, offer interactive discussions to deepen understanding, and upload all materials to GitHub for ongoing access, ensuring participants continue learning after the event.

Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?

No, its an educational Event.

Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.

Our team consists of Nithin, a blockchain developer, and Vinay, a full-stack developer. Together, we bring a strong technical foundation and practical experience to this project.

Nithin (GitHub: @Nith567) will be responsible for explaining core concepts and demonstrating the functionality of Livepeer AI PIPELINES. His background in blockchain development equips him with the skills to navigate decentralized technologies effectively.

Vinay (GitHub: gnvvs-07) will assist through Q&A sessions, helping to evaluate student understanding and engagement. His experience as a full-stack developer allows him to grasp both front-end and back-end aspects of video streaming applications, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for participants.

What is the project’s expected deliverable at the conclusion of the grant time period?

1)GitHub Repository: A comprehensive collection of resources, including code samples and documentation on Livepeer AI PIPELINES, updated and finalized by October 20, 2024.

2)Workshop Summary: A published summary highlighting key insights, participant feedback, and prize merchandise

  1. Photos: Captured moments showcasing engagement, with links to a photo gallery included in the GitHub README.

What is the one thing (the core mechanic) you want someone to do when using your deliverable?

The core mechanic we want participants to engage with is the ability to integrate Livepeer AI PIPELINES into their own projects. We want them to learn how to set up and utilize the Livepeer APIs for live streaming, enabling them to create scalable and innovative video applications based on the concepts demonstrated during the workshop.

How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?

Livepeer ecosystem by educating new developers about its capabilities, thereby expanding the user base and fostering innovation. By providing hands-on experience and accessible resources, we will empower participants to create and deploy their own video streaming applications. This increased engagement can lead to more use cases, community contributions, and a stronger overall ecosystem.

How did you learn about the Livepeer Grants Program?

I learned about the Livepeer Grants Program through the Livepeer Discord community. Having previously received a grant from Livepeer for a hackathon project, I became aware at education content under microgrants category.
