I have set “Background Refresh” to True in the Loop Follow App 2.2.8 but still it stops running if I dont use the app often on my IOS 18.2 phone. Also in IOS setting for this app I granted the permission to run in the background.

Is thuis a bugg of is if just my phone?

Thank you for reporting this issue.

The app uses a mechanism that plays a silent audio track to encourage iOS to keep it active in the background. However, this approach can be disrupted by several factors, such as alarm clocks, Teams-call, or other activities. Additionally, some users seem to experience this behavior more frequently than others, likely due to variations in usage patterns or iOS background activity management.

I understand how frustrating this can be and want to assure you that I’m exploring alternative methods to improve background reliability. If you notice any specific patterns or situations where the app consistently stops running, please feel free to share them here—they could provide valuable insights for debugging and future improvements.

Thank you for Your quick reply.

On my Sons phone, the one that is also looping this issue is not present.

On my phone I have the same issue with the official Dexcom Follow app.

I removed all my 'focus' settings and i dont mute the sound no more to see if it helps. If i find out what it was that messed with Loop Follow and its audio (silent) output I will let you know.
