Kobo Libra Colour, received non-200 status from Readwise. Code 400. Also showing store bought highlights when I have no store bought books. #125
Comments
Hey @a346534545, Ah yes, there's a bug around support for highlights from store-purchased books. As you mentioned, you don't have any but the bug sometimes causes October to think you do have some. You should be able to upload your highlights if you go into Settings and tick the "store purchased books" toggle. I still need to get around to investigating what causes the bug and release a fixed version Sorry about that and thanks for the heads up |
Hi Marcus thank you for your reply.
If I tick the "store purchased books" toggle and retry, I get an "There was a problem sending your highlights: database disk image is malformed (11)" error.
Thanks,
Al

Hi @a346534545, Hmm, it seems you have the same issue as #124 which was also from a user with a Kobo Libra Colour. I don't own a Libra Colour myself but if you're up for it, I can try to replicate the issue using a copy of your Kobo's database which should help me figure out if there is something slightly different with newer Kobos. One important thing to note, and the reason you shouldn't share your database publically, is that if you're logged into a Kobo account (I forget if it's a hard requirement), there is a session cookie for your account stored within your database. Technically, it could be used to access your Kobo account so you should be aware of that. If you're fine with that, you can find your Kobo database on Windows by navigating to "This PC" and then double clicking "KoboeReader" (assuming your Kobo is plugged in) You can then navigate to ".kobo" and you should see a file called "KoboReader.sqlite" which contains your highlights and bookmarks as well as metadata about books (what books you've loaded up) but not the actual books themselves. If you send that through to It does seem that occasionally Kobo's will report that on first boot and then sometimes work when restarted after the first time or something like that but I haven't done extensive testing by any means. |
I have added a few highlights to locally loaded .kepub books, but October is not uploading them.
