Hello,

I see there is no "booted to console" & "default GUI desktop" images.

It would be nice / helpful to have a look at what would be expected before performing a build/install.

I also do not see a list of suggested/working WM's & DE's for gray386linux (16mb+ ram users)?

Sorry to add me thoughts in "issues"

Hello.

I see there is no "booted to console" & "default GUI desktop" images.

There is only one image which boots directly to text console.
Just take a look at bin directory: https://github.com/marmolak/gray386linux/tree/master/bin

I don't have GUI desktop ready, because this is small distribution which aims to be booted from network (yeah, even on real i386).

It would be nice / helpful to have a look at what would be expected before performing a build/install.

What do you mean? gray386linux is not directly designed to be installed.
Maybe I should add some instructions how to use syslinux or another bootloader
for boot directly from local storage.

I also do not see a list of suggested/working WM's & DE's for gray386linux (16mb+ ram users)?

I don't have any :(. I would like to start with playing with old/new X.org codebase (old hw needs to be supported, like vl-bus). There is still no glibc present (work in progress, but it's slow because not much time) so gray386linux is musl-lib based and userspace is statically linked.

Thank you for your suggestions. Maybe I missed something so don't hesitate to add another details.

Don't worry. There is no other way how to communicate so issues are right place :).
