Taking inspiration from the “Construction Sets” on https://www.opensourceecology.org/development/ and the Gingery book series, I want to create a graph of projects for putting together a small home fab lab (or hackerspace) with open source projects.

The root point right now for that graph is a commodity 3D printer, although we’ll also link to RepRap and Voron/CoreXY printers that can be built with that printer.

Other tools on the list:

Some around the house things that’d be neat if we also had OSS projects for:

  • a modular robot vacuum project
  • an indoor hydroponic/aeroponic system

This is also intended to dovetail into / enable other projects like the Solar Webserver

All hardware should implement the "RNote self-documenting" idea where the hardware itself contains a USB-mountable disk drive (or network mountable volume) that contains all 3D design files, all firmware, and a doc on how to compile the firmware and how to build the hardware.
