Date format

Hi
I want to modify the text format from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yy for which I modify in the Tick Format field "{%d/%m/%y} of my date field but when saving it with it returns to the format "mm/dd/yyyy"
Can you help me how can I solve this ?
