Tray icon showing green circle without new messages

Hi guys,

Sometimes - I don't know under which condition this happens - I keep seeing the green circle in the tray icon, even though I open up the app and see no new message there, and no new reactions either to the messages I sent. At first I was wondering whether this could be something related to the tray icon extension I use for my GNOME desktop env, but I also use Slack and it doesn't have this problem.

My specs:

 $ uname -a
