stpcpy woes clang

still running into a few cases where clang errors out because of a missing stpcpy library definition.
the damn thing is that it is nowhere to be found unless by chance it is picking it up from the msys2 libraries which would suck majorly :S. latest example is lua which fails to build but luajit builds no problem so im kinda at a loss.
