I found a workaround!

My default quality setting for Tidal is 3. Now, the wanted behavior from StreamRip is to download the maximum quality available, but it seems like it only checks for the specific quality match and nothing less.

I controlled this by trying rip -q 3 url https://tidal.com/browse/album/97459008 which failed. However, rip -q 2 url https://tidal.com/browse/album/97459008 worked.
