No Acces to Files for several Apps after Upgrading to 17.08 #3504

Steps to reproduce

1.Updated Groupfolders App.

Expected behaviour

Access to Files via file app working, other apps that require file access still working

Actual behaviour

Opening files app got internal server error. other Apps that need access to files to work stopped working.
after disabling every app und re-enabling every app, and everytime checking the files app, after re-enabling the group folders app, the files app shows now files. after disabling again, it shows the files.

Linux 6.8.4-3-pve x86_64

Updated from an older Nextcloud/ownCloud or fresh install:

This is from the log funktion on the admin page, after reenabling the app.

i cant find it anymore in the log, but there was only an entry about the flow engine and restricted file access, but not configured, i think

Are you saying it wasn't working then you disabled and re-enabled a bunch of apps when you got to re-enabling the groupfolders app it all started working again?

Sounds like maybe PHP caching matter. Restart mod_php (or FPM) after the upgrade next time and see if the problem goes away immediately. You also may be able to improve things if you review your opcache settings. e.g. check the Danger note here: https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/installation/server_tuning.html#revalidation

This version is WAY out of-date: it's 10 maintenance releases behind (missing critical bug fixes including security ones).
