Appointment / PEM linkage

• Technical linkage between the PEM and the GP Connect Appointment

  • replicate the process that occurs in Care Connect shown on this page https://developer.nhs.uk/apis/uec-appointments/fs_xfercare.html
  • speak with UEC team

• Decide what behaviour should occur in the GP system

  • Given most of our providers have not implemented Care Connect provider, we’d need to understand what would be expected of them in terms of displaying / linking to the PEM/Referral / Appointment

  • E.g. from the appointment book, is there a link through to the PEM, or an embedded PEM viewer launched from within the appointment book

  • From the PEM viewer, is the appointment information displayed?

  • Understand what has already been done for suppliers that have implemented Care Connect provider

  • Do we add explicit requirements for this, or allow suppliers to do what they want with it?
