Issues when hardware acceleration enabled

I'm having this issue in news+ that has already been fixed in greader: noinnion/greader#128

Disabling hardware acceleration fixes it, but scrolling in an article is unbearably sluggish in nougat with this setting disabled on a Nexus 6p.

I can tell that this projects is pretty much abandoned based on other issues in this repo, but considering this has already been fixed in greader, hoping you'll port this fix over for an easy win. Also, if you have no plans to fix, please at least open source :)
