I believe that the list of prerequisites in the Readme is missing a font.

I'm on a Mac using iTerm2 with the Hack font, and the plugin's help line is garbled. See screenshot below:

Let me ask something, this Hack font is a nerdfont or just a common one?

Hack is a nerd font. https://www.nerdfonts.com/font-downloads

I can't get you a direct link you will have to search on the page.
