Pixy with RPi Voltage? #4

I am wondering how it is with the pixy SPI pull ups being 5v and the RPi being 3.3v?
Do you need to connect the 5v and GND pins directly to the RPi but then all the other data p[ins connect through a logic converter to shift the voltage from 5v to 3.3v for the RPi?

As my understanding is the 5v pullup can damage the RPi
