Arduino AnalogInput and DigitalInput have stopped working

Hi everyone. My name is Tim.
So, I've got into some trouble using Bonsai. The issue is that both digital and analog inputs seem to have stopped working.
Last summer i made a workflow with a digitalinput module and it used to work, the recording worked as intended, i've even recorded some files. But recently, after a few months, when i tried to run it, it didn't work. It seems as if bonsai wouldn't even see the inputs. I've also tried to insert an analoginput module, but it didn't work as well. What might be the problem here? Is it something with the version of the program (i have a 2.8.5 and don't remember if it was the same this summer)? Because i literally haven't been touching anything for months, but the behaviour of the workflow has changed for some reason. Or maybe it has something to do with the workflow itself.

Here, the idea was to send a digital outpit signal with a fixed interval to the arduino pin 2, which is connected to the pin 4 with a wire, and to record the input signal from the pin 4 via the DigitalInput module. And, as i've said earlier, it doesn't work anymore. Please help :(

Hi Tim, I think the arduino might be initialized on a different COM port or in rare cases it might be faulty (I had one instance of a faulty digital output pin before). Can you try different ports, reloading firmata on the arduino, or another arduino?

Thanks for your answer. I've already tried different ports and reloading firmata, but it didn't work out. But i haven't tried another arduino yet, so i'll definitely try. Also, arduino pins still perfectly work as outputs, when i use DigitalOutput, if that might somehow help you understand what might be the case.

Suddenly, I've got my hands on a spare arduino myself, so i've tried this workflow again and it worked! So it was all about a faulty arduino. Thank you so much for your feedback, it helped a lot.

Glad it worked! Yea it was something that I did not expect as well when I encountered it, especially when other parts of the arduino were working 😃
