Installation behind a proxy

Hi there
I got a proxmox server on which i want to run postal behind a firewall and Nginx Proxy Manager.
Of course the Mail ports are directly forwarded to the postal-vm, but the http has to go over nginx proxy manager as the firewall does not allow routing by fqdn.
As of that i'd like to run it without caddy, just redirect to the internal ip, port 5000 and run the ssl certificate from NPM.
At the moment this gives me just some Connection Refused Issues, how could i fix this?

Depends what the connection refused message looked like, whether it looks like an nginx error or a ruby error, but I believe you need to pass through the host header to the proxied site as a few others have encountered similar issues with nginx proxy manager before and that was usually the fix.

Unfortunatly port 5000 doesn't even accept any connections from another host, do i have to change something in postal.yml to allow this? As soon as i get this to work i would then in exchange extend the documentation if you want.

you can only use the hostname mentioned in the config file which is why the host header has to be passed through whatever proxies are being used

Ok now i got caddy also running on the server, just with the ssl-generation disabled, like that anything that needs to be forwarded is forwarded for the moment, thanks for your help anyways.
