I have no clue how modern python is supposed to be shipped. I would love some help on this !

My suggestion would be to use cookiecutter in order to create a nice coding environment.
We will have CI with Travis, testing, auto-release to pypi and ReadTheDocs support.
I can take care of that.

https://gist.github.com/zshaheen/fe76d1507839ed6fbfbccef6b9c13ed9 could help us with the automatic upload of our builds to Conda. But that tutorial is from 2 years ago.
