Not sure whether this dataset is suitable for pangeo-forge:

• the dataset is rather small (few MB for 1 deg)
• unsure how to deal with spatial resolution choice

However:

• it is not analysis ready for geospatial gridded applications
• it took me a while to get it into xarray

Alternative:

• remote_climate_data with intake catalog and Dataset Transforms
